All this End of the World stuff always pops up in economic down turns. Even if they are true I do not like to propagate them as it sets up a Culture of Fear, Shame and Guilt, which allows the Churches and the Clergy to exploit the People and Control them and Bleed them of the Money.
The Riches Institutions are Religious Institutions - They have no Extraction Cost, Production Cost, Marketing Cost. They even do not have Distribution Cost because people willingly give their Life. I am not saying they are all bad. They have their Spiritual Truth but to swallow it all hook, line and sinker is Not a Good idea.
Passive Faith is Dangerous. I prefer Faith based on Critical Thinking, Knowledge and Evidence. A church or a Pastor which does not give room for that should be disregarded. Jesus repeatedly warns us about the leaven of the Pharicees which is very prevalent to this day.
Confucius said, "Thought without Labour is Labour Lost. Labour without thought is Perilous."
However, I do believe in God the Creator of Life and the Universe.
There is a Spirit World and there is a Battle for your Soul. If our walk with God and Man is right, the End Times will take care of itself.
