Yes, We Can

"The answer my friend is blowing in the wind." Bob Dylan

I was hoping to conclude my say yesterday but when I woke up today there seemed to be some unfinished reporting: I remember some 35 years ago watching a movie by the name " Shangrila - The Lost Paradise", where there is a song, "Answer with a Question." We are always looking for answers outside the box but sometimes the answer is within.

What is the cause for Lifestyle diseases like, diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, over weight? Answer: Food
What is the cause for the Present Global Economic Lifestyle Recession? Answer: Money
What is the cause for the high rate of Divorces in Modern Society ? Answer: Sex

We cannot lower the dignity of mankind as to make, Food, Money and Sex the highest purpose to live.
Mankind after being schooled by Harvard and Oxford Universities and seems to have forgotten common sense 1st Principles like, "Good wine needs no Bush." "The proof of the Pudding is in the tasting." "The strongest point in the chain is its weakest Link." You will know the tree by the fruits." "We can't have our cake and eat it.""Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you." " What you sow is what you reap."

The Architecture of the Present Global Economics is an out moded growth of the 1945 Second World War days which ran into the Post Cold War Days which totally transformed the Global Economic Environment. So we were practicing Precold war rules and management tactics which were not suitable for a Post Cold war Environment. Maybe we were trying to have our cake and eat it!

Whether it is riding a car on the highway, Investing money or guarding the environment - Each and everybody must be in the know of Self, Family, Human Rights, Communities, Environment, Nations and World affairs. Without the Primary Epicentre being put right everything else cannot be put right if the individual is greedy and dishonest. Period. We can forget about Industrialisation, Globalisation, Mass Communication and Twitter.

If the Man is put right the world will be right. There is a nice story to illustrate this: "A busy father to silence his over active 5 year son, took a picture of a World Map, tore it to 100 irregular pieces and asked him to fix the Zig Zaw. The boy who knew there was a picture of a Man on the opposite side quickly started working on the Man and returned to his father in a few minutes. His surprised father asked him how did he do it. The boy replied, " if the Man is fixed the World will be fixed."

As true and mighty is the above illustration - there are always 2 sides to a coin. Today the Man can be translated to mean, "Government or "Multinational Corporates" or "Global Financial Institutions' or "The Aristocratic Super Rich". These are the seats of Power and Global Wealth which paralyze the average man to be himself. Yes I agree there must be some healthy competition but not until we create a Dog eat Dog World, Yes there must be technology but not until we pollute even breathing space, Yes, there must be Urbanisation but not until and individual's privacy is Invaded.

Somewhere between the 2 extremes The Thinkers of the Present Generation have to meet, discuss and find pragmatic ways to implement The New Economic Global Architecture. As most thinkers will agree the root is in affecting how the mind thinks and reasons and does. If we have not bred a generation of children to be courteous, we cannot expect people to be not greedy when they grow up. If we have not shown patience we cannot expect others to show patience. If we have not learnt to Give we have no right to ask others to do likewise.

Transformation is a Mind Game. We must do the Right thing first even if is painful - someday the good works that you sow today will slowly multiply and in 10 or 20 years there will be a New Global Economic Architecture worth admiring. Yes, You Can.
